Basically casualty hides are cattle hides not slightered, but from natural death.
Are these hides used for leather production?
Normally yes. They will be graded after damp blue tanning. This is the first period that buyer can see the outcome of the GRAIN. Hides can have (but must not) have grain defects. These grain defected hides can be used for buffing, embossed and printed leathers.
One customer told me the taking into account. Is it real?

What client said is WRONG !!! Because ........ yes he is right that casualty hides can be (but must not) of lower feel. With the checking account of damp salted CASUALTY cattle hides all buyer knows that these are casualty hides and no customary hides from regular slaughtherhouse killing. Our indicted selection once 80 % A, 20 % B is the thesame as for fine regulary hides. That means of defects behind holes, cuts ... = defects these are visual in that raw (damp salted) condition. Casualty hides can have grain defects, but this can be visual without help after damp blue tanning process. But we sell in raw (damp salted) and not in wet blue.
For your added recommendation: Casualty hides are from animals that were NOT killed in slaughterhouse. These animals died going as soon as hint to for the pasture or in the stable of the farmer. Then the dead body comes adjacent day or some hours unapproachable to a special slaughterhouse and surgically cut off the hides from the body by robot (= machine flayed). But animals were NOT killed in any slaughterhouse, but died concerning natural pretentiousness at farmers place.
But furthermore the prices in report of regulary hides to casualty hides .... casualty hides are app. 30 50 % cheaper. So once the descrption of wet salted CASUALTY cattle hides each tanner knows what it is and what he can manufacture from such hides.
